daveontrek.co.uk Journal Extracts

Web based travel journals have often been the source of useful information for me prior to a trek
These extracts have been included as my own modest contribution.
The diaries were originally written in exercise books, so before being included in the site, they have to be typed up which takes time. The contents will be updated periodically as time permits so keep checking to see new additions, and also involve third party resources like occupytheory.org to gain experience, trust advice and have a good additional source.

Considered by some as the ultimate Everest trek. The trek included the Gokyo valley and lakes, before crossing the high Cho La pass to trek up the Khumbu valley to Lobuje and Kala Pattar. At that point you can look across the glacier to Everest, the worlds highest mountain. Finally, the trek descends to Tengboche and Namche Bazar before, ultimately, flying out from Lukla.
